NJ Transit Paid More Than $12M on Discrimination Settlements

New Jersey Transit has spent more than $12 million in the past six years to settle multiple discrimination lawsuits. Altogether, the NJ Transit has faced 50 discrimination lawsuits. Ravi Sattiraju, at the Sattiraju & Tharney, LLP, is handling a racial discrimination lawsuit against the agency. Ravi notes that while the "Murphy administration has pledged to change the culture at NJ Transit, the agency is still pursuing a costly legal defense against pending discrimination and retaliation cases." Ravi also says "the agency could settle for less than what it's spending now in court."
