July 2021 Update: New Jersey Appeals Court Ruling Affirms ABC Test Applies to Weichert Lawsuit

As reported in the New Jersey Law Journal, a recent ruling by an NJ appeals court held that the ABC test for determining whether a worker is an employee or independent contractor applies to a lawsuit concerning Weichert and plaintiff James Kennedy II, despite Weichert's claims to the contrary. Attorney Ravi Sattiraju "said the ruling could result in a finding that realtors are employees, rather than independent contractors."

February 2020 Update: New Jersey Realtors Cannot Intervene in lawsuit

As reported in the New Jersey Law Journal, an appellate panel refused a motion by the New Jersey Realtors to intervene in the lawsuit.
